Ignoring the price, what is the best 3d modelling and Animation Software?

What is the best software for modelling, animating and rendering a high quality film if you ignore the price and experience. We are making a film and want to know the best software to use to make an alien. We have £5000 for animation so we should be fine. I already have some experience with blender but realise it can be a bit… errr… unrealistic with camera tracking.
