difference between acme and three hole peg bars?

Can you tell me the difference between acme and three hole pegbars. i am really interested in animation to draw some of the frames on paper

Acme peg bars have slits at the ends of it instead of holes. The perforations are also closer together than a regular 3 hole punch.
